Hershey Bears head north to face the Sound Tigers Wednesday

The Bears went into their Christmas holiday break in winning fashion with a 5-2 victory over a team they faced off agianst for the first time ever in the Binghamton Devils. You wouldn’t have ever guessed it was the first match up as the game saw two fights, multiple boarding minors, and plenty of chippy and feisty plays.

The Bears now head north to Connecticut to take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The tigers have played three less games then the Bears, but sit with the same amount of points in the division. Bridgeport however sits in fifth place while the Bears, looking to get back to .500 sits in the seven spot in the Atlantic division. Bridgeport has a great goal tending tandem in Kristers Gudlevski and Christopher Gibson.  Hershey will also need to watch out for former Bear, Ryan Bourque who netted two goals for the tigers in their meeting with Hershey at the Giant Center a few weeks ago. Other players to watch are Stephen Gionta, Josh Ho-Sang, Casey Bailey and center Ben Holmstrom all forwards with plenty of skill.

Both Hershey and Bridgeport are coming off five goal efforts and wins that lead them both into the Christmas holiday. Puck drop is 7:05 at the Webster Bank Arena tomorrow night.
