The Hershey Bears come out on top in Syracuse winning 2-1

The Hershey Bears played on the road Friday night as the Syracuse Crunch hosted them in their final matchup of the season. Hershey would get on the board first, but not until the second period, when at 2:51 Tyler Graovac earned his twelfth goal of the season. Dustin Gazley would find his nineteenth assist of the season as well as Wayne Simpson earning his twentieth.

It wouldn’t take long for Syracuse to tie it up as Mathieu Joseph would get a power play goal at 7:56 in the same period. This would bring the score to 1-1 headed into second intermission. It would take over half of the third period for Hershey to pull ahead. Tyler Graovac would find the stick of Aaron Ness who would score at 13:22 putting Hershey in the lead 2-1. This would be the deciding goal as Hershey won the game bringing their record to 25-27-4-5.

Hershey would be outshot by Syracuse 30-18, however Pheonix Copley would stop twenty nine of those thirty shots, earning his thirteenth win of the season.

The Hershey Bears will be stopping in Binghamton on Saturday evening to go against the Devils, puck drops at 7:05. They will then head home to Hershey to host the reigning Calder Cup champs the Grand Rapid Griffins game starts at 5pm.
