Harvey Shut Down for the Year
Dan Duquette announced today that Hunter Harvey will miss the remainder of the season. Harvey’s elbow was bothering him and he was diagnosed with an elbow strain and inflammation, according to Dan Connolly.
Harvey is not expected to need surgery.
Harvey pitched to a 3.18 ERA over 17 starts with Delmarva this season. I recently wrote about why the O’s should not move him at the trade deadline. I am sure that his trade value has dropped after the injury.
Here’s the tweet from Connolly announcing the move:
Duquette said Hunter Harvey is out for year w elbow strain and inflammation. Rest not surgery.
