Former Orioles, Where Are They Now Part One

In honor of Chris Tillman’s start tonight, I’ll start with one of my all-time favorite Orioles, Erik Bedard. That’s right Erik Bedard is one of my favorite players. Why you ask? Because he gave us two of our core players in Adam Jones and Chris Tillman.

Bedard is playing for the Tampa Bay Rays and will be making his first start of the season against the Yankees tonight. The Other Big name in that trade was George Sherrill. Sherill has not played in the majors since 2012. Sherrill was traded for Josh Bell and Steve JohnsonJosh Bell was supposed to be the third baseman of the future. That never worked out, and I am kind of glad it didn’t. I like our third baseman now. Bell is currently playing in Korea for the LG twins.

Scott Feldman– Feldman is currently with the Houston Astros. He is pitching great, boasting a 2-1 record and a 1.69 era.

Jason Hammel– Hammel has pitched pretty well. He is 2-1 with a 3.05 ERA and .726 WHIP.

Jeremy Guthrie– Guthrie was traded to Colorado for Hammel, but could not perform there and was sent to Kansas City. Guthrie has found a home in KC. In his time there he is 22-15 with a 3.18 ERA.

Danny Valencia– Valencia is also in KC, he was traded for David Lough. He hasn’t seen much playing time. Valencia has played in four games, and has hit .273 with a HR in 11 ABs.

L.J Hoes– Since going to Houston for Bud Norris, Hoes is batting .272 with 2 HRs and 11 RBI.

Mike Morse– Morse didn’t produce for the Birds in his short tenure in Baltimore. It wasn’t the colors that affected him though, as Morse is back in the black and orange with San Fransisco. In 16 games this year he is hitting .306 with 2 HRs and 10 RBI.

That is it for today. More to come in the future.
