Dylan Bundy named 2018’s Opening Day Starter
It was announced today that Dylan Bundy would be the Orioles 2018 starting day pitcher.
Unprompted. Dylan Bundy announced on TV he's "humbled and honored" to be opening day starter for #Orioles

The 25-year-old right hander earned the teams and fans respect by pitching a 4.24 ERA and a 13-9 record. Bundy started off the 2017 season strong but then slowed down a bit later in the season partly in due to reaching new inning highs for a season. Though the former 4th overall seemed to improve when given extra days of rest. Bundy is poised for a big year and the Orioles understand that he is their best chance at an ace.
Last years opening day starter, Kevin Gausman, seems to have lost the honor when he pitched to a 4.68 ERA and a 11-12 record. Another 4th overall pick had a bit of a regression season last season after pitching a 3.61 ERA in 2016.
And the Orioles opening day starter of 2013-2016 Chris Tillman, seems to have lost that opportunity when he was the worst pitcher in Baseball last year and is now looking to regain form.
