Draft Profile: DeShon Elliott

The Baltimore Ravens selected DeShon Elliot in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL draft. Elliot is a safety out of Texas who had six interceptions last season. Elliot was the 190th overall pick. Mel Kiper Jr. had Elliot ranked as his 12th best safety in the draft.

Elliot impresses me with his size at 6’2″ 210 pounds, he will fit on special teams right away. Elliot also looks like he can be a playmaker with nine career interceptions. Elliott has also forced three fumbles.

The Ravens are set at safety with Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson set as starters. The Ravens do need more depth at that position. Elliot is a player who will have time to develop.

Here are some of his highlights.
