Derrius Guice Tears ACL

Another malady has befallen the Washington Redskins backfield. Rookie running back Derrius Guice tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in the first quarter of Washington’s first preseason tilt against the New England Patriots. Prior to that, he compiled 19 yards on six carries. Now the Redskins have to rely on scatback Chris Thompson to once again be their primary three-down back.

The Redskins play their next preseason game against the New York Jets on August 16th.
