Davis Suspended 25 Games

The Baltimore Orioles have lost another key member of their team. Chris Davis has been suspended 25 games, including the post season, effective immediately. Davis, who did not have an exemption this season, tested positive for Adderall – which he has used in the past.

Davis has 26 home runs this season and his bat was finally starting to heat up. The Orioles have been great at facing challenges this season, considering they’ve already lost Manny Machado and Matt Wieters for the season. They’ve also been without Davis before.

Fortunately, in the wake of the Davis loss, the Orioles can play Ryan Flaherty (who is probably their best defensive option) at third base. However, the recently acquired Kelly Johnson can also play first and third.

More to come.
