Daily Fantasy Hockey Line up: 1/9/2018

Introducing the daily fantasy football lineup.   Welcome hockey fans we have a great line up for you tonight for all you daily fantasy hockey fans!

We have seven games in the NHL tonight with a few lopsided games. A little about myself I am Alex Benda I grew up playing goalie, that is always the first position I pick and my pick tonight is Philip Grubauer against the Canucks (Other option is Steve Mason $8,200). Even though Grubauer has been shaky this season with a record of 2-5-3 and a save percentage of .909 and a GAA of 2.70 hasn’t been a great year, but playing a weak Vancouver team Philip should be a great play tonight.

My centers I picked Nick Backstrom and Brian Little. Like I said before the Caps have an easy game against a struggling Vancouver team missing there top center. Backstrom is 49 in the league in points, and with Vancouver having the fifth worst penalty kill in the league I think he could get a lot of power play assist passing to a red hot Ovechkin.

Little has been performing well playing with the first place team in the central. Averaging almost a point a game. Playing a last place team in Buffalo I would recommend Little only costing $4,900. Other options are Evgeny Kuznetsov, Blake Wheeler, Steven Stamkos, Braydon Scheen or Eric Staal.

Wingers I picked the NHL leading goal scorer Alex Ovechkin, Alex Steen and Brandon Saad. Ovevhkin has been hot with eight points in his last four games hes a no brainer tonight. Saad has been inconsistent, but he’s on the first line with Johnathan Towes and playing a struggling Ottawa Senators he could easily put up three points tonight.
Alex Steen hasn’t been what he was supposed to be being a dominant layer the past three years, but the St. Louis Blues have been a favorite to win the cup. Steen has been on a three game point streak, and playing a weak Florida Panther team at home he to me is a must play tonight. Other god options would be Vladimir Tarasenko, Patrick Kane, Vladimir Manestnkiov, TJ Oshie and Johnny Gaudreau.

If you are looking for cheap value plays look at defensemen Christen Djoos. The rookie defenseman has put up two points in his last three games, and has been developing into a good two-way defensemen. He’s shooting the puck more and could have a big game tonight. My next defensemen I have tonight is John Morrissey has put up three points in the past four games, and is starting to see some power play time. Other options are John Carlson, Dustin Byfuglien, Victor Hedman and PK Subban.

Value picks tonight are Zach Parise , Davante Smith-Pelly, Jacub Vrana, Ondrea Palat, Ryan Hartman, Lars Eller, Calle Jarnkrok and Dougie Hamilton
