D.C. United Unbeaten Streak Comes to an End

D.C. United lost 1-0 to the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena tonight. This ends a five-game unbeaten streak, and is their first loss since their last game against the Red Bulls in late July.

The only goal in the game was scored by Red Bulls’ midfielder Kaku, who scored on a shot from outside the eighteen that screamed past Bill Hamid in the 56th minute.

With this result, D.C. United will stay at 27 points, and stay at 8th place in the Eastern Conference. The Red Bulls have 52, only two points behind Atlanta United FC, and are in second place in the entire league. D.C’s next game is at home against Atlanta on Sunday, September 2. The game will be at 7:30 on FS1.
