DC United announced earlier today that they will be facing a familiar international foe in the preseason come February. That foe is Malmö FF of the Swedish first division.

Malmö FF is the most successful club in the Swedish soccer league winning more trophies than any other Swedish team since their inception. The match will be the fourth time against the Swedish powerhouse. Last time they played last year in the preseason United lost 1-0 to the Swedes in February 2015. The other two matches in which they played both ended in 1-1 draws.

Recently United also announced they would be playing a friendly against the newest USL team Las Vegas Lights in Vegas. We should expect the rest of the preseason schedule to come out within the next few weeks.

Contract talks are still being finalized by United and what would be eventually the first choice Goalkeeper Steve Clark if he were to stay with the team as former first choice keeper Bill Hamid opted for Europe.
