D.C. United hosts Seattle Sounders; preview: 9/22/19

D.C. United returns home to Audi Field after a lengthy road trip back in the playoffs, having clinched a spot on Saturday night with results elsewhere impacting their standings. That doesn’t mean this is a game the Black and Red will take lightly. The last two road games resulted in big wins for D.C. United in Montreal and Portland and now they look to carry that momentum in front of their fans as they go for their third consecutive victory. It’s a feat United will look to accomplish for the fist time this season.

The Seattle Sounders come into this game with a 14-9-8 record and are second in the Western Conference with 50 points. Their last match resulted in a scoreless draw against FC Dallas on Wednesday night.

One thing that will play into D.C. United’s favor to close out the season is playing their final three games on Sundays, giving them a full week to rest and prepare for the next opponent.

D.C. United is hoping Ola Kamara will be back in the lineup. He missed the last game with a hamstring injury and will be a gametime decision.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on FloFC.
