D.C. United changes profile pic for Pride Month

D.C. United is off of game action for a while but that isn’t stopping them from making an impact in the community especially for the LGBTQ community when they changed their profile picture to reflect Pride Month which is every June. They changed their profile pic to feature their logo as well as the pride rainbow logo circling around the main team logo.

Comments were mixed among fans with mostly positive ones while others were negative. Most notable was Steven Magnusen who said he was unfollowing the team for political reasons. All I have to say is it isn’t political to make a statement that soccer is indeed for everyone.

Sometimes it’s hard for people to come out. Our message at MSB is that we include everyone and treat everyone the same whether you’re an intern or CEO. If you need the space, contact someone you can trust to get your feelings out. Everyone is created equal no matter what your belief is.

The D.C. United team store also released special Pride jerseys and hats. You can place your order here. D.C. United has one home game on Saturday June 19 which will likely be Pride Night.
