Could A Coaching Change Be In The Works For The Stingrays?

With the Hershey Bears announcing former Stingray player and coach, Spencer Carbery, as the new bench boss, the rumor mill has started turning according to Charleston’s local news source, the Post & Courier.

The article states that current Ray’s coach, Ryan Warsofsky could be headed to Hershey to be Carbery’s assistant. Warsofsky had been an assistant coach under Carbery for three seasons in Charleston.

Warsofsky told the reporters, “Spencer and I have had a couple of conversations over the past couple of days and we’ll see what happens.” he then added, “If the opportunity is there, it’s going to be a tough decision. I love Charleston, I love the Stingrays and the organization and working with our president Rob Concannon and our new owner Todd Halloran. The city and the organization have been so good to me and my family.”

With hockey season around the corner and pro teams added to moving their rosters, let’s assume bench staffs will be locked down rather quickly .
