Copley recalled by the Washington Capitals, Carlson heads to Hershey.

The Washington Capitals have called on Phoenix Copley to head south to sit backseat to Philip Grubauer this weekend. Vice President and General Manager Brian MacLellan announced today that with a call up to Washington, goaltender Adam Carlson would head from the ECHL’s Kansas City Mavericks to re-join the Hershey Bears.

With a record of 14-16-6, a 2.86 goals against average and a .898 save percentage after 38 games, Copley stands to play in his third NHL career game this weekend.

Adam Carlson, who has already played in four games this season with the Bears will return to Hershey after recording a 5-1-2-1 run while playing in Kansas City. With his time spent in South Carolina, Kansas City, and with the ECHL’s Indy Fuel, Carlson has played twenty games and is 6-3-3-1. He has a 2-2-0 in Hershey and could see a start sometime this weekend.

Hershey will be back at it on Saturday March 24th on the road to take on the Hartford Wolfpack up north. Puck drops at 7PM. Hershey will then quickly head back home to host the same Wolf Pack at the Hershey Giant Center for a 5pm start.
