Commanders trade William Jackson to the Steelers

The Commanders receive a conditional 6th round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Steelers will receive Jackson and a conditional 7th round pick in the 2025 NFL draft. This was a much needed move for the Commanders because Jackson didn’t fit in DC. It will also help the Commanders salary cap next season since the Steelers are paying his contract now.

Jackson had a bunch of blown coverages in DC and I’m glad they got his contract off the books. He was more of a man corner and the Commanders played more zone with him. The Commanders have been playing without him during this win streak because of a “back” injury. I think it was more of a benching because he played terrible against the Cowboys and was benched during the Titans game. Jackson finished his career in DC with two interceptions and 55 tackles. Also add another disappointing big money free agent signing in the Dan Snyder era.
