Christian Djoos making NHL debut for Caps

The Washington Capitals defensemen Christian Djoos will be making his NHL debut tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Djoos was drafted in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL entry level draft.  Djoos is 23 years old and shoots left-handed, he is a highly skilled puck moving defensemen.  Djoos scored 13 goals for the Hershey Bears last season and had an impressive 45 assists.

Djoos is a great skater but is slightly undersized at six feet, 161 pounds.  Watch for Djoos to jump into the rush on offense often.

Djoos has two full seasons with the Bears, that is the only American hockey Djoos has.  Djoos hails from Sweden and has most of his experience in Europe.

Let’s hope Djoos has a strong debut for the Caps.
