Chris Davis homers as Orioles drop game two 5-2 to the Blue Jays Recap: 8/2/19

The Baltimore Orioles hosted the division rival Toronto Blue Jays, for game two of this three game set.

Aaron Brooks got the start for the O’s tonight, tossing five innings, allowing three runs off five hits. Not a bad start, except for allowing three base on balls.

The Blue Jays got out on top in the first inning, following a pair of RBI singles. This gave the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead.

Now in the fourth, Orioles pitcher Aaron Brooks allowed a home run that extended the Blue Jays lead to 3-0.

Gabriel Ynoa was the pitcher for the Orioles in the sixth when he allowed another solo shot. This put the Orioles in a 4-0 hole.

Chris Davis would continue his little hot streak, smashing his second home run in three games. This two run blast onto the flag court cut the Orioles deficit to 4-2 in the seventh.

The Blue Jays would add an insurance run in the ninth off of Paul Fry. This would put the Blue Jays up for good at 5-2.

Aaron Brooks received the loss and moves to 2-5 on the season.

Our MSB Orioles player of the game is Chris Davis. Davis went 1-3 with a walk, and delivered the two Orioles runs in big fashion.

Catch the Birds as they try and take game three from the Blue Jays, Saturday at 7:05 pm ET.
