Ravens report card versus the Bengals: The Offense

450px-Dennis_Pitta_2011_stadium_practiceYes this is a few days late but heck these are the last two report cards of the season so why rush it.  For the story on the Ravens losing go here.

Quarterback:  Joe Flacco did not have much left in the tank and Tyrod Taylor was warming up several times.  It was hard to watch Flacco take hit after hit after he was already injured.  Flacco completed 30 out of his 50 passes with three interceptions and one touchdown.  Grade C

Arthur Jones is out for the Ravens after not being able to pass his concussion test.  Dallas Clark is also inactive for the Ravens again, it has been common for him to be inactive since Dennis Pitta has returned.

The Bengals are missing both their top tight ends which includes Jermaine Gresham and Tyler Eifert.

Ravens have four Pro Bowlers

400px-Justin_Tucker_(cropped)The Baltimore Ravens have four players selected to the Pro Bowl this season.  Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata and Marshal Yanda were selected which came as no surprise.  The new kid on the block Justin Tucker was also selected to his first Pro Bowl.

Tucker’s selection should come as no surprise as he gained national attention on Monday Night Football when he went 6 for 6 and hit the game winning field goal.

Ravens report card versus the Patriots: The offense

96px-Ray_Rice_2012The Baltimore Ravens lost to the New England Patriots 41 to 7. The score was not pretty but the score was close until the last two five minutes.

Quarterback: Joe Flacco was obviously hurt in this game. Flacco sprained his knee against the Detroit Lions and it was obvious that his performance was hampered. Flacco went 22 out of 38 for 260 yards and two interceptions and honestly it was probably the best he could do. The numbers were not pretty. Grade C
