The 29 year old left-winger was signed by the Capitals during free agency in 2012. He was then resigned by the Caps in 2013 to a two year contract that will pay him $575,000 a season. He will become an unrestricted free agent next July if he is not resigned. Volpatti, a native of Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada has made a career by his tough play and willingness to fight.

Googling his name reveals numerous videos of him engaging in intense battles with numerous Capitals foes. The 27 year old backup goaltender was signed by the Capitals on July 1st, 2014 to a two year contract that will pay him $950,000 a season.Peters, a native of Blythe, Onterio, Canada has made a career with the Carolina Hurricanes, serving as their backgup goaltender and playing a few games in the AHL since being drafted 38th overall in 2004. Capitals Player Profile: Patrick Wey

The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native was drafted by the Capitals in the 4th round (115th overall) of the NHL Draft in 2009. Wey, who attended Boston College from 2009-2013, won two NCAA National Championships, two Hockey East regular season championships, a Hockey East playoff championship, and one Bean Pot tournament championship in his four years with the Eagles.

Wey signed a two year entry level contract with the Capitals in April of 2013 worth $640,000 at the NHL level. He will be a Restricted Free Agent at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season.
