The Los Angeles Clippers entered the Verizon Center with a nine game winning streak and as one of the hottest teams in the league. The Washington Wizards put on a defensive show, never giving the Clippers a lead during the game and causing 18 turnovers. The Wizards strong effort ended the Clippers nine game winning streak with a 104-96 victory.

Beal's Tip In Buzzer-Beater Sinks Magic

The Washington Wizards showed great energy in the fourth quarter to surge past the Orlando Magic with a buzzer beating tip in by Bradley Beal to seal the deal. The Amway Center hosted a great game as both teams went back and forth making clutch shots. Eventually, John Wall put the team on his back leaving it all on the court. Beal was able to pick up what Wall left and lifted the Wizards to a 91-89 buzzer-beating win.

Wizards Blow 23 Point Lead, Edge Celtics in 2OT

The nightmare a tePaul_Pierce_Wizardsam never wants to wake up to…the Washington Wizards ended up blowing a 23 point lead to the Boston Celtics, but still found a way to win. A game everyone thought was over after the third quarter ended up being a classic at the Verizon Center tonight. The Wizards found a way to come through as a team and win 133-132 in 2OT over the Celtics at the Verizon Center.

Wizards Fall Short to the Celtics in Boston

John WallThe former Boston Celtic, Paul Pierce, got yet another standing ovation from the crowd as he returned to TD Garden tonight. Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics crowd was able to enjoy another standing ovation, but this time for their teams performance. The Washington Wizards late fourth quarter surge was not enough to overcome their 101-93 defeat from the Celtics.

Wizards host Pelicans in Second Annual Baltimore Classic

The Washington Wizards will play the New Orleans Pelicans in the Royal Farms Arena, formally Baltimore Arena tonight at 7.

NBA Free Agency through July

The first wave of free agency has gone through and there have been a ton of moves. The biggest move of course has been Lebron James return to Cleveland. The only reason he took a two-year deal is because in 2016 the NBA gets a new TV deal which will increase the salary cap which increases the max contract money.
Carmelo Anthony went back to the New York Knicks on a five-year deal. Anthony got the most money there through the max contract. Anthony also has Phil Jackson running the Knicks now so he may think that winning could be in their future.

Wizards Acquire DeJuan Blair in Sign-and-Trade with the Mavericks
