Mark Turgeon, head basketball coach of the Maryland Terrapins, dismissed Trayvon Reed from the team following his arrest on Wednesday. Reed was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and theft.

Terrapin Forward Jake Layman Out 4-6 Weeks with Hand Injury

Maryland Terrapin junior forward Jake Layman is now expected to miss four to six weeks due to fracturing a bone in his left hand earlier this month. He however is expected to recover fully by the time the team begins practicing for the season.
