Cashner takes the hill in Game 2

BALTIMORE, MD– 7:05pm EDT– The Baltimore Orioles look to get back in the win column when Andrew Cashner takes the hill vs Aaron Sanchez. Cashner bounced back from his Orioles debut when he tossed six innings of one-run ball in his first win Thursday at Yankee Stadium.

The Orioles have an up hill battle Tuesday when they face Sanchez. One good thing for the Orioles is the two players struggling the most are the only hitters who’ve had effective at-bats vs Sanchez. Chris Davis has batted .381 avg in 22 AB and 4 HR, Jonathan Schoop has too done well vs Sanchez batting .409 in 22 AB. Last nights game proved that the Orioles will need to score more runs to win games and getting an early lead would help as well.

Cashner has not faced many hitters in the Blue Jays lineup which may come to his advantage, look for Cashner to keep the ball down and in the ballpark. Cashner had struggles doing that in his first appearance in Camden Yards. If things don’t go as planned maybe birdland will see their first appearance of future star RHP Hunter Harvey.

Boogies Prediction

  • Davis: 2-for-4 with 1HR
  • Cashner: 5IP, 5K, & 3R
