Caps vs. Preds; Eighth time’s a charm!

Tonight the Washington Capitals (34-11-5) take on the Nashville Predators (22-19-7). This home game will be the second and final regular season meeting for these two teams. The Preds have beat the Caps last seven meetings. In fact, March 18, 2016 was the last time the Caps beat Nashville. The first game this year against them was October 10, which Nashville beat us 6-5. Another game that we had a 4-1 lead and lost focus and the game. The Caps need to keep this four game win streak alive.

Alex Ovechkin returns tonight, after his one game suspension for his decision to miss the All-star game. Perhaps he will keep his not streak going, having scored eight goals in three games. Another hot hand is Jacub Vrana who scored his second straight goal winning goal. Not to mention is on a point streak for nine straight games now, in which he has eight goals and three assists.
