Preview: Caps vs Flyers.. can Ovie get to 700?

The Philadelphia Flyers visit the Washington Capitals on a brisk Saturday night.

The Caps, have made one significant roster move in benching Nick Jenson. This way, they can play Fehervary, who played the last game, against the Kings.

Alex Ovechkin is two goals away from a huge milestone, 700 career goals. Braden Holtby had a great game against LA, so expect him to start.

Ovi has scored 14 goals, in his past seven games, which is the hottest streak he’s had in his career. He’s also the first NHL player to have three hat tricks in six games since the 92-93 season.

The Flyers have some motivation for this game, first bouncing back from a terrible 5-0 loss to New Jersey, and also keeping Ovi from hitting 700 goals. The Flyers are about to start a stretch against a lot of eastern conference teams, which could be important for them.

Philly is tied with Carolina for the final playoff spot in the East.

The game can be viewed on NBC sports Washington, or you can listen on the radio at 106.7 fm. The game starts at 7:00 pm.
