Caps play the Blues after completing a come from behind win over Buffalo

The Washington Capitals, fresh off a come from behind victory against the Sabers, welcome St. Louis to town. Both teams are in the sixth spot in their respective divisions. In the past five games, the Blues and Capitals have both gone 2-3-0.

Jordan Binnington who is the Blue’s main goaltender, is out with a two game suspension. This leaves Thomas Greiss as the starter. He has a record of 7-9-0 this season, with a goals against average of 3.50. His save percentage is .900 even. On the other side for the Caps, Darcy Kuemper is 20-21-5 with a 2.75 goals against average. Charlie Lindgren is 13-8-2 with a 2.78 goals against average. The save percentage respectively is .912 for Kuemper and .903 for Lindgren.

Ever since the Dmitri Orlov trade, the Caps defense has gotten a bit better. With the additions of Rasmus Sandin and Alexeyev, it seems to have sparked a change on the defensive side. By putting the younger players on the ice for extended periods of time, it seems to have injected a little bit of umph to the team.
