Caps face off with Devils tonight, Bears home opener Saturday
The Washington Capitals coming off of there first regulation loss of the season at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins now take a mini road trip north to take on the New Jersey Devils tonight, before heading to Philadelphia to take on the rival Philadelphia Flyers.
Game Notes
Alex Ovechkin continued his hot goal streak with another goal again the Penguins, but it would not be enough. The league leader in goals, Alex Ovechkin will look to add to his eight goals tonight against the Devils.
Tom Wilson returns from his second suspension of the 2017 calendar season. Wilson vows “to be physical, but smarter about how when and where he is physical”. Number 43 will return to the lineup on a line that sees Brett Connolly, and Lars Eller.
Christian Djoos (1G, 1A) makes his second consecutive start as the Caps try to continue a spark, and reward players for good play.
Tonight marks the first regular season matchup for the Caps against former long time forward Marcus Johansson. MJ90 left during the offseason for the the Devils in a trade in which the Capitals received a second and third round draft pick.
