Capitals welcome the Rangers to town, will woes against them continue?
The Washington Capitals are welcoming the Rangers to town for the 6th game in a six game homestand. Lets look back on what happened with the Rangers last time they were in town and what needs to change.
For starters, players need to be more alert as to where the defenders are. Last time the two teams met Dillon got cross checked in the back which coughed up the puck, which led to the go ahead goal for New York. The Capitals must be more vigilant.
Secondly, the defense needs to tighten up. They played alright in the first game but gave up to many chances. If the defense can play a more sound game, and limit the amount of chances New York gets, it makes the game that much more winnable.
