Capitals vs. Canadiens Preview: November 15, 2019
The Washington Capitals return home for the first game in a back-to-back. They will play the Montreal Canadiens for the first time this season. These teams have a history, but the Caps are ready for whatever comes to pass. As a team riding high, they do not want to mess up so soon.
The Caps are riding a thirteen game points streak, having not lost in regulation in over a month. They have 32 points and are 11-0-2 since October. Strong players John Carlson and Alex Ovechkin continue their banner seasons, leading the team in assists and goals respectively. The Canadiens are 10-5-3 with 23 points, just a bit behind the Bruins in the Atlantic Division. They have a balanced team, but need a quality win to stand out.
Tonight’s game will be a test for how far these teams can go forward. They are both strong, but need a true test to determine how strong they will be in the future.
