Capitals visit the Predators tonight in Nashville

Capitals preview-Washington begins the first of a quick two game road trip. Tonight’s game will be the fourth time Barry Trotz returns to Nashville after leaving the Predators in 2014.

Washington is in the middle of the pack in scoring (2.82 goals per game) and on special teams (18.6 percent PP, 78.6 percent PK) and surprisingly next-to-last in shots per game (28.5)

Sunday night’s 2-1 shootout victory over Edmonton was the Caps’ fifth win in their last six games.

Holtby was named the NHL’s third star for the week ending November 12. He went 3-0-0 with a 1.27 GAA and a .952 save pct. in his three starts last week.

Nashville preview-  Nashville carries a four-game winning streak into Tuesday’s game.  Tuesday’s game against the Capitals  will be halfway mark of sixteen games they must play against Metropolitan Division this season. Nashville is 4-3-0 in its seven games against the Metro thus far this season.
