Capitals Prospects to Compete in 2018 NHL Prospects tournament on September 8-11

The Washington Capitals will head south to Florida before they open up their NHL training camp in mid September. The rookies and prospects from the Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Nashville Predators will showcase their talents to the NHL scouts and fans with a chance to make a name for themselves heading into training camp. Each of the players will not only be battling the other prospects, but will be looking to earn a spot on the NHL rosters for training camp to get a longer look by their respective NHL clubs.

The Washington Capitals prospects will face the Lightning prospects once and the Predators prospects twice during this round-robin tournament event. The Capitals tournament roster and further media information will be announced at a later date.

All games are free and open to the public. The tournament will take place at Germain Arena, the home of the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

The official schedule for the tournament is as follows:

Saturday September 8 – Washington at Nashville – 1 p.m.

Sunday September 9 – Nashville at Tampa Bay – 1 p.m.

Monday September 10 – Tampa Bay at Washington – 10 a.m.

Tuesday September 11 – Nashville at Washington – 11:30 a.m.
