Capitals notch their second win of the season

The Capitals played their second game of the season in Buffalo, on the second night of a back to back series. Vitek Vanecek made his nhl debut for the Capitals and made 30 out of 31 saves.

The Capitals got goals from Jacob Vranna and Tom Wilson. Vranna had his second of the season. Wilson had his first.

Since its still early in the season, there are a few things to brush up on for the Capitals. They had five penalties in the game. While they did give up five power plays, Vanecek didn’t allow a goal through all of the power plays.

Some quick game notes. Brendon Dillon played in his 600th career game. Lars Eller won 15 of his 25 face offs for a 60% success rate.
