Capitals make a trip back to New York to finish the road trip with a game against the Islanders

The Washington Capitals are looking to close out a five game road trip against the Islanders with another win in the books. The two teams are neck and neck for first place in the Eastern Division. The team is coming off back to back wins against New Jersey.

The teams defense still continues to struggle but has shown improvement in the past few games. While the team is showing signs of improvement, it still leaves a lot to be desired. Look for changes to the defensive six to be made to switch things up.

The power play has been abysmal all season long. Something needs to be done weather its formations, or coaching staff. This is hopefully being addressed in the days off.
