Capitals look to continue their winning ways, this time against Buffalo.

The Washington Capitals (17-6-4) are finishing up a road trip in Buffalo against the Sabers (6-15-4). Lars Eller was injured in the last game against Philadelphia and is out for this game as well. Because of this injury the Capitals are dressing 11 forwards and 7 defenseman. The team has been giving up goals late in the period giving opponents a chance to get back into the game. The Capitals will be trying to tidy up the defense in this game so that later on down stretch, they can close games out.

Another factor is the improvement in the face off circle allowing them to keep their pace and set the tempo. Doing this allows them to keep the puck in the offensive zone, work the play around at the pace they want and set up plays.

The power play is slowly getting up to speed which is important to take advantage of opportunities with an extra attacker on the ice for the Capitals. When oppertunities arise like this, its important to take advantage because scoring that goal might be the difference maker later on in the game.

The game is at 7:00 on NBC sports Washington and can be heard on 106.7 fm
