Capitals face Buffalo for the second game of the season

The Capitals look to keep the energy going on the second night of a back to back series with Buffalo. The team looked to have a new fire and energy in last nights game which they won 6-4. The team showed many improvements in many areas from last season.

The power play was switched up, which means the slingshot wasn’t the only way they brought the puck into the offensive zone. They also had great puck movement in the zone and were able to mix schemes up in order to make it harder to defend.

Tonight the Capitals will most likely be turning to rookie goaltender Vitek Vanechek who is making his nhl debut.

The game can be seen on NBC Sports Washington at 7 pm or you can listen on 106.7 fm.
