Capitals extend Jack Hillen for two years

The Washington Capitals have signed defenseman  Jack Hillen to a two-year contract extension.  Hillen’s deal is reportedly $1.4 million, Hillen has missed most of the season due to injury.

Hillen has ten career goals and 47 career assist.  The Capital’s like Hillen for his ability to move the puck and his experience having played in over 240 games in five seasons.

I can see why the Capitals would want to extend Hillen, the Caps need depth on defense.  Hillen may not be the biggest player but he can handle the puck well and is pretty quick.  With Mike Green having trouble staying on the ice the Caps need depth.
