Capitals End Road Trip with a 3-2 Win Against the Buffalo Sabers

After a tough lost in Chicago the Washington Capitials bounced back and earned a great victory in Buffalo. The Caps now are 14-10-5 while on the ride this season.

Philipp Grubauer had a great night in net stopping 32 shots.  Grubauer played very calm and did not let up any big rebounds.

Alex Ovechkin got the scoring started in the second period after he deflected the puck from a shot from Christian Djoos. Then later in the period John Carlson let a bomb fly from the point giving him 11 goals this season, and is now one goal away from a career high.

Later in the third Evgeny Kuznetsov scored a slick goal, but then things got weird. The referee first said no goal due to Kyle Okposo kicking it out of the net. During the time until the first whistle Kuznetsov took a penalty that should’ve been washed off since the play should’ve ended after he scored his goal. Does that now make Kuznetsov a time traveler? We’ll never know.

Caps play again tomorrow in D.C. and make sure to check the courage caps gear that helps donate money towards families who have lost loved ones fighting for our country
