Boston hasn’t lost since two weeks ago against the New York Rangers. The Boston Bruins have had a real struggle against the Washington Capitals of late as they have lost their last eleven games with the Capitals, including their last five games played in Washington. Anton Khudobin looked to get the nod for the Bruins in this game. He has gone 8-4 with a 2.45 goals against average and a .923 save percentage on the year, including 5-2 with a 1.91 goals against average and a .943 save percentage on the road.

The Caps losses to the Flyers and Devils in 2012 marked the first time Washington has been shut out in back-to-back games since March 6 and 9 in 2007. The last time it was blanked in two consecutive outings at home was March 13 and 15 in 2001. They have now been shut out in back to back games again, both on the road. Braden Holtby is expected to be between the pipes. Holtby has gone 20-8 with a 2.65 goals against average and a .918 save percentage overall, including 12-4 with a 2.06 goals against average at home.
