Breaking: Chris Tillman is back in Baltimore
Source: Tillman agrees to a 1-year deal with the Orioles worth $3 million guaranteed, in which he can earn an additional $7 million in bounces throughout the year. The signing of Tillman clears up the Orioles pitching issues almost fully.
Baltimore Orioles 2018 Rotation:
Gausman, Bundy, Cashner, Tillman
Fighting for the last rotation spot will be Mike Wright, Miguel Castro, Nector Cortes, and Gabriel Ynoa. Just last week the Orioles pitchers and catchers reported to camp, which at the time just meant two pitchers Gausman & Bundy. By adding Cashner and Tillman in this past week the Orioles now look like a team that can compete in the Al East, yea ESPN may not believe but when have they liked the Baltimore boys? With the rotation filling out and Machado still being in black in orange, I expect the Birds to be in contention late to possible sneak into a wild card spot.
