Bellator 233 Salter vs Van Steenis Predictions

Bellator returns to one of my favorite venues WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville Oklahoma with another solid card and a Friday night full of exciting fights. As is the norm on these Oklahoma cards we get a slew of young talent and Bellator debuts on the prelims. Don’t let that fool ya those often produce some amazing fights and the beginning of a few bright Bellator careers. Due to the unfamiliarity with many of the prelim fighters I will pick the Main card and a couple of the bigger prelim fights but not all of them. However if you want to see my deep dive in predictions you can check out my Damon Smith Tapology page and see the full slate of fights. Bellator 233 Prelims Predictions

Kyle Crutchmer over Robert Gidron via decision

Tyree Fortune over Chuck Campbell via decision

Aaron McKenzie over Sean Clements TKO

Romero Cotton over Jason Perrotta via TKO

Janay Harding over Amanda Bell via Decision

Jordan Young over Julius Anglickas via Submission

Bellator 233 Main Card

Tyrell Fortune over Azunna Anyanwu via TKO
I think this one is damn near a lock (Never a sure deal but this one is close in my book) I think Tyrell is better in every aspect of this fight and should have little trouble getting a finish in this one I say TKO round 2 if it lasts that long.

Arlene “Angerfist” Blenclowe over Leslie Smith via Decision  (This one is an upset prediction by most “expert” accounts but while I like both fighters I feel Blencowe is poised to make a serious run and it starts with former UFC prospect Smith) Leslie is talented and has a really strong showing her last 6 fights falling to only Chris Cyborg in that span so her winning would be no surprise at all I just feel the upset in this one.

King Mo over Andrew Kapel via TKO
Look Kapel has some skills but I really think this fight was hand picked to send King Mo out with a win. I expect Lawal to come out swinging and finish this fight within the first two rounds via TKO/KO

Costello Van Steenis over John Salter via TKO
Okay okay I know most every damn “Expert” is picking Salter in this fight and I understand why they say that. Extremely talented fighter with a fantastic submission game. Van Steenis is a skilled striker with a lot of pop in his punch and a fair ground game himself (Not Salter’s level) who can strike from angles and cause problems fast. This one could very well go Salter via submission and it probably should BUT not so fast fight fans. I feel Costello has the upset fight plan in tact tonight and I expect to see him finish this main event in violent fashion via TKO
