Bears lose to the Penguins in a 4-0 shutout.

The Hershey Bears lost their sixth straight game of the season last night hosting The Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins at home. Former Herhsye Bear Justin Peters’ younger brother Anthony would stop all 18 shots against Wilkes Barre/Scranton tallying his first AHL career shutout.

Less than four minutes into the first period Zach Aston-Reese would find the back of the net bringing the Penguins to a 1-0 lead at 3:40. The Penguins Jarrett Burton would bring the lead to 2-0 on the very next shot over six minutes later at 9:14 in the first, and the rest of the period would go scoreless.

The second period would play out with neither team scoring and the third period begins with a Penguins lead at 2-0. Former Hershey Bear Christian Thomas would get his 12th goal as a Penguin at 10:54 and the Pens would take a three goal lead. At 12:01 Zach Trotman would score again bringing the lead to 4-0. No goals would be scored after that and Hershey would fall at home 4-0 to The Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Hershey would be outshot by Wilkes Barre/Scraton 18-21. This loss brings Hershey to a 17-19-3-4 record. Hershey will be in Providence on Friday January 26 puck drops at 7:05.
