Bears lose in Providence, Friday, 5-2

Friday night brought another loss for the Hershey Bears as they tried yet again to pull out of a frustrating losing streak. Liam O’Brien would put the Bears on the penalty kill just three minutes into the first period and Ryan Fitzgerald would take advantage the power play scoring first for Providence. In the second period at 10:46 Jakub Zboril would get his first professional goal of his hockey career bringing Providence ahead 2-0.

At 14:47 in the period, the second power play goal of the game would go to the chocolate and brown, as Wayne Simpson would get Hershey on the board bringing the game to 2-1. It would only take Providence twenty eight seconds to make the game 3-1 when Tommy Cross would score on yet another power play.  Josh Hennessy would give Providence a three goal lead at 4:48 in the final frame. Zach Sill would bring Hershey another goal at 7:11 in the last period to tally his fourth of the season. With the game at 4-2, Providence would score a third power play goal of the game at 13:06 when Austin Czarnik would find the back of the net after a pass from Jordan Szwarz.
