Bears get a win at home, beat Utica in 3-0 shutout.

The Hershey Bears hosted the Utica Comets for their first matchup of the season saturday night. After finishing out Friday nights 7-6 loss in Lehigh Valley, Pheonix Copley found himself in the net to start the game against Utica and would go on to stopp all 24 shots fired his way.

The first period would end scoreless, and it would take almost eight minutes into the second period for a goal to be seen. Tyler Graovac would get his twelfth assist of the season after sending a sweet pass to Aaron Ness who would tally his third goal of the season giving the Bears a 1-0 lead.

Hershey would get themselves a two goal lead later in the period at 14:25 when Dustin Gazley would find the stick of Chris Bourque who would beat Thatcher Demko in front of the net to get himself a welcome home goal. Bourque who just returned from his trip to the 2018 Olympics, gained his forty seventh point and thirteenth goal of the season.

Zach Sill would add a third goal to the Bears score at 14:07 in the final period bringing the final score to a 3-0. Hershey finished out the night perfect on the penalty kill stopping six of six, but not capitalizing on their own power plays going 0-for-7 with the extra man advantage.

Hershey outshot Utica 30-24 and bettered their record to 24-27-4-4. Hershey will host Lehigh Valley in their final matchup of the season Sunday afternoon at 5pm at the Hershey Giant Center.
