Bears get a win on the road, beat Hartford 4-1

It all started 3:18 into the first period when Mathias Bau scored his sixth goal of the season sneaking the puck past Hartford goaltender Chris Nell. Hampus Gustafsson earned his first assist and point on the goal along with Hubert Labrie. Before the end of the period Riley Barber would score goal two of the game putting the bears up 2-0 at 18:27. Dustin Gazley and Jeremy Langlois would each get a point this game with an assist on Barber’s goal.

Hartford brought the heat at the beginning of the second period, but Vanecek and the Bears defense couldn’t be beat. Zach Sill would score shorthanded to bring the lead to 3-0 at 7:08 in the middle period. It would be Sill’s first goal on the season and would give Hubert Labrie his second point of the game on the assist.

It would be rookie Mason Mitchell who would put the Bears up 4-0 at 15:04. With this fourth goal Hartford would pull netminder Chris Nell and send Alexandar Georgiev  to the net.  Adam Tambellini would be the only Hartford goal resulting in teddy bears raining down on the ice as this was Hartford’s Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night, bringing the score to 4-1.

The Wolfpack would be outshot 30-28. Hershey will be back on home ice Sunday at 5pm against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Giant Center.
