Baltimore Ravens report card week 5: the offense

Quarterback: Joe Flacco’s numbers do not indicate how well he actually played.  Flacco’s final numbers were terrible with a quarterback rating of 55.6, no touchdowns and one interception.  His numbers would have been better but his receivers had four drops in the first half alone.  The offensive line did not help him either, they allowed four sacks.  Grade C+

Running Backs: Ray Rice had over 10o-yards rushing on only 17 carries. Rice was one of the only things going for the Ravens offense.  The other running backs combined for only four carries.  Grade C+

Receivers: Way too many drops from reliable guys like Anquan Boldin and Dennis Pitta.  Boldin’s final numbers were decent but he had two drops and a bad penalty that brought back a big play from Torrey Smith.  Smith was not targeted much this game.  Tandon Doss and Jacoby Jones were nearly invisible.  Grade D

Offensive line: They opened up some holes for Ray Rice but let Flacco get hit way too much.  Some plays Flacco did not have a chance and could only tuck the ball away and take the sack.  Rookie tackle Kelechi Osemele had a tough game that included a couple false starts. Grade D
