Ravens draft receiver “Hollywood” Brown 25th overall

The Baltimore Ravens have selected wide receiver, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, with the 25th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Brown will join Willie Snead IV, Chris Moore, Jordan Lasley, and Seth Roberts in the receiving group for Baltimore. Originally, the Ravens had the 22nd overall pick, but traded it to the Philadelphia Eagles for the 25th overall pick, the 127th overall pick, and the 197th overall pick. The Eagles used the 22nd overall pick to select offensive tackle, Andre Dillard, courtesy of Baltimore.

Moreover, through Brown’s career, he has recorded 132 receptions, 2,413 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns. In Brown’s junior season at Oklahoma, he managed to record an exceptional 75 receptions, 1,318 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in 12 games played. Overall, the newly acquired Ravens rookie was outstanding in college with the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Ravens will pick next in round three, specifically the 85th overall pick, unless Baltimore decides to trade up or down tomorrow night.

Moving on, Lamar Jackson will potentially have a true number one option to throw the ball to, and with Brown’s speed, expect the Ravens to use him in reverse plays or screens. In my opinion, this was a solid selection for the Ravens, and I give this draft pick a B grade.

Welcome to Baltimore, “Hollywood!”
