Alex Smith Has Broken Leg and Needs Surgery

Washington Redskins Quarterback, Alex Smith, left today’s game against the Houston Texans in the third quarter with a gruesome injury, and it was just announced that it was a broken leg, fibula, and tibia, as he’ll need surgery. Smith will likely be out for the season, and it’ll likely be Colt McCoy, who starts for Washington for the rest of the season.

Moreover, Smith finished the day with 12 completions off 27 attempts with 135 passing yards and two interceptions. Despite struggling, it is sad that Smith was injured, as he was a leader for Washington and contributed to their now 6-4 win-loss record, and being 1st in the NFC East.

As for the Redskins in general, they stand at 6-4 after the loss and will take on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving at 4:30 PM.
