AFC North Injury Report: End of preseason

injury-big

As week one of the season approaches, some teams came out looking strong for their preseason games, while others fell a little short. The AFC North has some probable contenders that will be on everybody’s radar this coming season. Although we hope they remain on the top of the list, let’s hope it’s not the top of the injury report list! As the games roll on, we will see how well the AFC North will hold themselves against other divisions.

The Baltimore Ravens had a positive preseason and seem to be looking really strong. The main injury of concern is Running Back Bernard Pierce. He did not play the last game of preseason against the Saints due to a concussion. His status is probable.

After a 35-7 victory over the Colts, the Cincinnati Bengals are coming to play this season. Running Back Rex Burkhead will see no action the first month of the NFL season. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict and Running Back Jeremy Hill are both questionable as well. Hill is still dealing with a shoulder injury and Burfict a hamstring injury.

With a 1-3 record for preseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to step up to the plate to remain a contender in the division. This week the only injury to report is Wide Receiver Martavis Bryant shoulder injury. Although he is questionable, the injury seems to be minor and will most likely practice with the team this coming week.

The Cleveland Browns also need to make some moves this season to keep up in the division. Wide Receiver Nate Burleson was released by the Browns after suffering a hamstring injury. Tight End Jordan Cameron is said to be probable after a shoulder injury.

Everyone gear up for the NFL Season, because it is here and the players are ready to play!
