Five Players To Watch For In Redskins Vs Broncos

As the Washington Redskins (1-1) take on the Denver Broncos (0-2) tonight, eyes are going to be peeled to see who will make the cut to earn a position on the roster for the regular season.

Now of course, all eyes will be on Adrian Peterson (RB) to see if he still has the same kick as he did back in the days as he’s still fighting for a spot on the depth chart for the regular season

Another player to watch is Maurice Harris (WR), who signed to the Redskins in 2016 as an undrafted free agent and was placed on the practice squad. Although, he has been called to the active roster a few times over the last two seasons and has proved himself each time now he has a chance to secure his spot on the active roster for the season.

With Joshua Holsey’s (CB) injury, it’s opened an opportunity for Danny Johnson (CB) to grab a spot on the active roster as he was signed by the Redskins after being undrafted. However, he’s fought throughout training camp to prove he has what it takes to be on active roster this season.

Kevin Hogan (QB) will be a player to watch tonight as even though he has a spot already, his performance hasn’t looked too well this pre-season. Hogan was signed after his release from the Browns as Cleveland went 0-16 for their 2017 regular season. Moreover, Hogan threw for 517 yards with 4 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. As he enters as the Redskins Quarterback, he’ll be hoping to erase those numbers and create new ones.

Lastly, Daron Payne (DL) is already turning heads as he has had the Redskins staff thinking he can be a real game changer for the defense. Everyone will be watching to see if he pulls in more sacks tonight, as he’s made clear he’s determined to get to the QB.
