#13 ranked Maryland squares off Against #7 Tennessee in Brooklyn

The 13th ranked Maryland Terrapins enter Brooklyn New York on Sunday afternoon in hopes of creating another win streak. The Terps are coming off of a hard fought 64-59 loss at Wisconsin last Tuesday. Maryland is looking to get another win streak going in Brooklyn against 7th ranked Tennessee in the Basketball Hall of Fame invitational on Sunday at 4:30pm Eastern Time. This continues one of the toughest stretches in basketball right now for the Terps.

For Maryland, Sunday is a chance to overcome some adversity amidst their first loss. That being said, this game will be far from easy. The Tennesse Volunteers, who are ranked 7th in the Country right now, are one of the most powerful teams in the country. Along with their very talented offense, they are one of, if not, the best defensive team in the country.

The Terps coming off of a 38% night from the field in Wisconsin are going to have to get going early in order to win this one. With Tennessee being so powerful on the defensive end, it comes down to the Terps shooting well, and making sure to get good looks. That being said, Jahmir Young, who leads the Terps with 15.3 PPG on average this year will have to get the Terps going on the offensive side of the ball.

On the defensive side of things, it is important for the Terps to lock down Guard Julian Phillips who leads the Volunteers with 12.2 PPG on average. Although this is a far from easy win for the Terps to get, it is very doable and one that can really get this team going. The Terps, sitting at 8-1 are facing off against 19th ranked UCLA back in College Park on Wednesday. Tomorrow they have a chance to really fuel themselves and keep this fan base excited for what is to come with the Willard era. Tune in tomorrow on Fox Sports to watch the Terps go toe to toe with the Volunteers in Brooklyn, in hopes of getting back on track.
